When We Are Closed

In the event of an emergency outside normal surgery hours please telephone 111.This service operates for emergencies and urgent medical problems only. If your problem does not fall into one of these categories please try to wait until normal surgery hours.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained advisor, supported by healthcare professionals. 
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 

Emergency Contraception - emergency contraception can be used at any time up to three days after unprotected intercourse. It is available from the surgery, from some local pharmacies and from the local family planning clinics.  

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
