What is AMR awareness?

It is a global campaign to raise awareness and understanding of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and promote best practices to reduce the emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections. It aims to:

• increase awareness of global AMR

• encourage best practices for using antimicrobial’s responsibly among the general public, health workers and policy makers

• avoid the further emergence and spread of drug-resistant infections.
